we are fiercely proud to call the tablelands home.

Est. 2025 | Tough. Loyal. Tenacious.

Our vision is to create a thriving community of rugby mad Tablelanders

Tablelands Rugby Union was created by a group of dads who loved the game. With the help of some passionate volunteers and in true-blue, pull it together and make it work, style, the club quickly formed and hosted a juniors sevens competition in Atherton - despite not having any formal teams, sponsors, jerseys or home ground. We showed no signs of slowing down though. In February we didn’t have a team and by March we had won our debut game in the Men’s Reserve Grade competition.

red. maroon. gold.

With a team name and colours inspired by our signature red soil and golden sunsets, we want to make sure the Tablelands largely agricultural spirit is authentically represented.

Found in abundance across our farms, working dogs are known for their loyalty, tenacity and ferociousness. Our emblem is the iconic, tough as nails, just won’t quit, Red Heeler. We hope to embody their spirit on the field.

We are so grateful to our dedicated volunteers…

Our club is founded on community & comradery…
